Do I really need to buy a keyboard?

There is a lot of help and information on this site about which keyboard to buy, and how to connect it up to your PC - you may be wondering if it is essential to purchase some kind of keyboard or digital piano to benefit from making music using your PC: the answer is it really depends on what you want to do.
